Draft pending legal review. Text in [square brackets] is still to be filled in.

StudyCast uses artificial intelligence to build study material from your documents. This page says what is AI-generated and what its limits are.

What is AI-generated

  • Lesson scripts and narration text: written by a language model (Google Gemini) from your document.
  • Spoken audio: synthetic speech made by a text-to-speech service (Microsoft Edge text-to-speech). It is not a recording of a real person.
  • Video: narrated video made from AI-written scripts, slide stills and, where used, AI-generated images (NVIDIA NIM).
  • Notes and quizzes: written by a language model from your document.
  • Chat answers and viva questions: generated live by a language model, based on your lesson.

Labelling

Narrated audio and video are synthetic and are described as AI-generated. If you share a lesson, keep it labelled as AI-generated. [LAWYER: confirm labelling and provenance-metadata duties for synthetic audio and video under the IT Rules as amended in 2026, and how the product meets them.]

Accuracy limits

  • AI can be wrong, leave things out, or state something with false confidence.
  • Output is based on your document. If the document is wrong or unclear, the output can be too.
  • Pronunciation of names, formulas and non-English terms may be off.
  • Check important facts against your source before an exam or before you teach from it.

Where your data goes

To produce output, parts of your document are sent to the AI providers listed in the Privacy Policy, together with what each provider says about how it may use that data.

Report a problem

If output is harmful, wrong in a way that matters, or infringes your rights, tell us through the grievance page.
